Field Force

DSI conducts large numbers of simultaneous implementations through the leverage of our staging & configuration center and a North American field deployment force. DSI’s 2000 plus field deployment technicians are fully equipped to address any computing device deployment needs as well as tasks related to telecommunications, cabling, electrical or fixture modification that are normally associated with any technology deployment. In addition, because of the methodologies employed at DSI’s configuration center, products arrive at customer sites in a “plug and play” state. As a result, it usually takes only one visit to a site to complete the installation.

We utilize independent technicians from our network. Most of our technicians are individual technicians. Although we may use companies in special circumstances, our preference is to work with individuals, thus avoiding the additional “mark up” on cost.
Technician database is populated with all technicians utilized and recruited over the past three years. To meet the demand of our clients, we are constantly growing our network with new technicians and new skill sets. We use a proprietary tool to select, screen, evaluate, monitor, and communicate with our network of technicians. Each time a technician performs a service, our staff records specific and detailed information about that technician’s performance. We are interested in the technician’s:

In addition to rankings on performance, we record specific skill sets and certifications, when applicable. Text comments from staff members who interact with specific technicians are recorded during and after each project.

Our tool allows us to selectively contact technicians based on skill set, geography, and availability. Unlike full-time technical employees, who often are ordered to appear onsite for projects that may not interest them, our technicians have the freedom to choose only to work on projects that interest them and ensuring you get a team that has been assembled for your project specifically requesting assignment on your project.

The field deployment force is supplemented by our systems engineering personnel, as appropriate, depending on the nature and complexity of a project. DSI’s field deployment force utilizes our standardized process methodology and is trained and equipped to address the specific requirements of each engagement. In addition, we have special partnerships that enable us to solution any telecommunication, cabling, electrical or fixture modification tasks.
