Alliances

Successful partnerships are one of several key components of Deployment Solutions’ overall growth strategy, in conjunction with internal development and acquisitions. By forming partnerships with best-in-class companies, DSI is able to focus on what we do best—world-class network deployment solutions—while at the same time offering customers the end-to-end rollout solutions they need. With the help of our partners, we can enter into new markets more quickly and efficiently, develop new solutions for our traditional markets, and deliver the highest-quality services to our customers.

DSI believes a coherent alliance strategy has four elements:

1. An underlying business strategy that shapes the logic and design of individual alliances.
2. A dynamic view that guides the management and evolution of each alliance.
3. A portfolio approach that enables coordination among alliances and enhances flexibility.
4. An internal infrastructure that supports and strives to maximize the value of external collaboration.

Taken together, these elements determine whether a firm is successful in using alliances. As a general matter, alliances themselves are neither good nor bad for a firm it all depends on how they are used. At the right time and when managed well, they can create tremendous value; at the wrong time and when managed poorly, they can be costly distractions.

DSI is currently working with several strategic partners to bring unmatched end-to-end deployment solutions to our clients. We are focused in the area of national providers in the electrical, cabling, and material logistics industries. In addition, we are partnering with smaller, regional firms that share our commitment to quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction. Those partners give us tremendous capabilities in CAD, resource management, and infrastructure build out.
